INSTRUCTIONS

Please ensure you follow the instructions listed below
  1. Make sure you’re on Wifi
  2. Download the app
  3. Make sure you’re using headphones – this is essential across all devices
  4. Remove any phone cases
  5. Turn off notifications on your phone
  6. Make sure you have your charger to hand!
  7. You’ll see a dot which is a pointer
  8. When that turns yellow or blue that will allow you to move to that area simply by touching the left hand side on the top of the headset (a grey bar)
  9. If you look up you’ll see a menu – on some phones the pointer is a little offset so just look an inch to the right and and an inch upwards and you’ll see the dot change to blue. Then just click

 

NOTE: If this is your first time using VR with your mobile we strongly recommend that your download google cardboard app from your app store and give it a try!

  1. Click on the Mac download 
  2. You’ll be taken to a folder on google drive – hit the download button (top right) – IMPORTANT – do not open any of the folders in dropbox, as soon as you click on the link just press the download button.
  3. This will take a few minutes depending on your internet connections speed
  4. Once it’s installed the file will be in your downloads 
  5. Click on the file – note: you may get a message saying that the app cannot be opened. Don’t worry!
  6.  Open your download folder and RIGHT CLICK on the file. Then click open. You may be asked to confirm you want to open the app, click yes. 
  7. Sign in using your credentials 
  8. You’ll see a three buttons. Click on the first button on the left, this will download the event. This can can up to 20 minutes depending on your download speed.
  9. Once installed, click the right hand button to launch the event. This can take a couple of minutes.
  10. To navigate around the even, simply use the arrow keys and right clicking on your mouse or trackpad and the moving the mouse/trackpad will move your head.
  11. Any issues? Click on the live chat and we’ll happily help you out.

  7. Don’t put on your headset just yet!Sign in using your credentials

  9. Once installed, click the right hand button to launch the event. This can take a couple of minutes.
  10. When you launch into the event you’ll see what looks like an icon with a pair of glasses on the bottom left. Click that and the screen will split in two.
  11. Now carefully insert your phone into your VR Headset.

Note: if you get a message saying “scan this code” simply hold your phone over the QR code on the bottom of the headset (this just configures it with the phone).

VRGather works on Iphone 7 and above. 

  • Please make sure notifications is turned off.
  • Make sure you have all apps closed before launching VRGather.
How to turn off notifications on your iPhone
  1. Launch the “Settings” app on your phone, then scroll to and tap “Notifications.” Select Notifications in Settings. …
  2. Scroll down to the app with notifications you want to limit, then tap it. …
  3. To curtail all notifications, toggle the button beside “Allow Notifications” to off.
